Looking Ahead
When I became the CENTER’s third leader, I believe that momentum built collaboratively would propel us into future greatness. I am reminded of the aspiration every day by the palpable energy and renewed sense of pride throughout the CENTER’s community
We have come together as a community and realized that we needed to invest in ourselves and our mission to make this institution stronger. I am happy to report that our investments are yielding results.
Our investment strategy started with our strategic plan. We have learned from a number of our community members who participated in the process of developing this plan that our services are valued and need in the community. Contributors represented all area of the CENTER, clinical staff administration, the board of directors, and clients.
Among the imperatives for achieving our goals is a commitment to assembling and fostering a world-class staff and developing the programs that allow us to maintain a distinctive experience for our clients. In support of these objectives, I have been delighted to welcome new ways to back up our operations and the CENTER continues (or will continue) to look at ways to better organize agency structure to provide back-up to all positions and locations. Our focus is to do things smarter and more efficient, and look at ways to make all positions valuable to clients who move about our different facilities. The CENTER encourages staff to cross train and experience other duties to make them more valuable to the agency.
We have also enhanced the quality and efficiency of services, to ensure clients continue to receive personal attention and an excellent experience, and we have welcomed new innovative suggestions through the Strategic Improvement Team meetings, (SIT meetings).
The CENTER has had a successful reputation both in our community and the field. The CENTER is on the move and I’m proud that the results we’ve already achieved are being recognized beyond our community.
We are embarking on a pivotal time in CENTER history and this is only the beginning. I ask that you reengage with the CENTER and consider how you may be able to contribute to the CENTER’s momentum.
